I cry for the soul of a nation once free.
Trapped by their own, deceptive lucidity.
No longer knowing what’s right or wrong,
blindly singing their own chosen song.
For freedom to endure, we must stick to truth.
Induced in a trance, we’ve become so obtuse.
Can’t see how freedom’s been swept away,
now conditioned to simply obey.
I pray we awaken, soon from our slumber.
Or all that we’ve known, will be torn asunder.
